In the Summer term, all the Burscough Village Primary School children were asked to create their own design for new packaging for DS Smith to celebrate their 100th birthday. We were blown away by all the children's designs. They showed their knowledge of Burscough by including this in their drawings which was wonderful to see.
We were pleased to hear at the start of the Autumn term that six of our children had been shortlisted, and invited to a family fun day along with other shortlisted children from other local schools. At the fun day, we were thrilled to find out that Harry in Year 5 and Jacob in Year 6 won the overall prize for their age group. All the children shortlisted received a certificate and the overall winners are being invited to the factory to see their designs come to life as well as receiving a lifestyle gift voucher.
Well done to all the children who took part in this wonderful community competition.
