Last half term, the children entered a competition with the Canal & River Trust following on from a visit from them in assembly.

The children were challenged to create a piece of bunting which would be used to decorate Burscough Wharf on the 18th October for the Community Celebration Day to mark the section of the canal between Liverpool and Wigan turning 250 years old this October.

Nine children from Burscough Village Primary School were chosen as winners for their amazing designs for the bunting. Each child was awarded with a goody bag in assembly this morning.

Well done to all the children who took part, and especially to our winners.
